Komodo National Park is one of our top destinations within the Wallacea Region of Indonesia. Identified by WWF and Conservation International as a global conservation priority area, Komodo has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The islands of Komodo, Rinca and Padar are located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores.

Komodo National Park includes three major islands: Komodo, Rinca and Padar, as well as numerous smaller islands creating a total surface area (marine and land) of more than 1,800 km2. As well as being home to the Komodo Dragon, the world’s largest living lizard, the park provides refuge for many other notable terrestrial species.

As far as the marine fauna is concerned, Komodo National Park is one of the world’s richest marine environments. It contains over 260 species of reef-building coral, 70 different species of sponges, crustaceans, cartilaginous (incl. manta ray and sharks). Also contained within the eco-sphere is 1,000 different species of bony fishes, as well as marine reptiles (incl. sea turtles), and marine mammals (dolphins, whales, and dugongs).

Located to the East of Flores, Alor archipelago is formed by 20 pristine islands and is finding fame for its world-class diving, scenic underwater rock formations and abundant fish life. The main attractions are the seasonal passage of whales and diving with such unique underwater creatures as Mola Mola (Sunfish), Thresher sharks and more.

Cruising the archipelago with a luxury Indonesian yacht is pure bliss, most of this huge chain of islands enjoy calm seas and warm sunny weather throughout most of the year.
